I have been heavily inspired by digital and traditional artists that focus on character designs and creating stories or scenes in their pieces typically in a fantasy, sci-fie or something in a fictional setting. I gravitate towards designs where a story gets told through visual choices an artist makes when just looking at a character you can get an idea of what they are about. I have been creating and learning digital art for the better part of a decade and coming to enjoy traditional forms of art like printmaking and painting. My pieces have a heavy influence from fantasy, but with a more modern twist. Playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends and family had inspired me to start drawing our original characters, the environment we were in, and scenes from the story that was being told. Learning what makes a character special and making it come to life on paper has become a great joy. In my process I start by deciding what different genres I want to start looking into; Then making or being given a concept, I then decide what idea I want to dive into more. From there I try finding inspiration from different time periods, cultures, fashion and doing research into each of those subjects and finding out the significance to what is inspiring me at the time. My art and is about combining different ideas into something new but familiar.
